At the end of this course, participants will be able to implement the basic principles of an effective incident investigation, and will be able to participate effectively within an overall incident investigation process.

Incident/accident investigation is a very detailed study of information and circumstances in order to determine immediate and long-term preventive measures. Although a significant level of expertise is required to coordinate an incident/accident investigation, all parties involved must be aware of the basic components and concepts involved in the process, in order to achieve effective results.

Format and Methodology
The course is designed to be delivered in a one-day format, and can be modified to meet the specific objectives of the respective client and site. The course focuses significantly on “hands-on” interactive methods; group work and discussion is encouraged.
Participants are provided with a workbook to minimize the need to take notes and to maximize participation. The workbook also allows for better retention of knowledge and can be used as individualized follow up reference material.
Participants will be requested to evaluate the workshop, and a course validation process has been built into the participant workbook. |
