Prerequisite - Anyone wishing to become an External Auditor, must successfully complete the Orientation to Hazards in the Food Processing Industry, if they have not worked in that industry before.
The purpose of this five-day training is to ensure that all participants have the desired Health and Safety working knowledge that can be applied within the BC food processing industry, and to provide specific training pertaining to the COR program so that participants will be able to:
- Describe COR and its potential benefits
- Explain what is to be audited and how to use the COR audit instrument
- Describe the various stages used to conduct the COR audit
- Confirm the reporting protocol between the subject company (Employer) and the Council
(the COR Certifying Partner)
- Describe characteristics of auditor professional conduct and quality control
- Develop strategies for managing the COR audit process
- Conduct a sample COR audit to meet the auditor accreditation requirement of the Council
The course is designed for Health and Safety professionals who wish to become accredited External COR Auditors for the Council. |
